Born and raised in Brazil, the founder was always passionate about Açai and about a healthy lifestyle, after moving to Canada he realized how much he missed a good Açai bowl , that is when the idea of bringing Açai to Canada started! The name Açai Black Belt originated from a life long passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu where Black Belt means you have achieved a high level of excellence.
